These Terms & Conditions apply to the Founders Connect website and to attendance at Founders Connect events.
By using the Founders Connect website or registering for a Founders Connect event, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Events and Registration
Founders Connect organises free and paid events.
Event registration and ticket payments are processed through Luma and may also be subject to Luma's applicable terms and policies.
Where an event requires approval, registration does not guarantee admission. For paid events requiring approval, if your application is not approved, the amount paid for the ticket will be refunded in full.
A valid registration or ticket is required to attend an event. Admission is subject to the capacity and safety requirements of the venue. For free events, registration may not guarantee entry if the venue has reached its maximum capacity.
Events are open to attendees aged 18 and over.
2. Ticket Transfers
Tickets for events that do not require approval may be transferred to another person.
Tickets for events requiring approval are personal and may not be transferred. A person wishing to attend such an event must register and, where applicable, receive approval themselves.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
For paid tickets, the following refund policy applies:
- 72 hours or more before the event: 100% refund;
- Between 24 and 72 hours before the event: 50% refund;
- Less than 24 hours before the event, on the event day, or after the event: no refund.
The same refund policy applies whether or not the ticket holder attends the event.
Refunds are made to the original payment method. The time required for a refund to appear may depend on the relevant payment provider.
If Founders Connect cancels an event, the ticket price will be refunded in full.
If an event is rescheduled, the ticket will normally remain valid for the new date. If the new date is not suitable, the ticket holder may contact Founders Connect to request a full refund.
Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
4. Event Conduct
Founders Connect aims to provide a respectful and professional environment for all attendees.
We reserve the right to refuse admission to or remove any attendee whose behaviour is disruptive, aggressive, threatening, discriminatory, abusive or otherwise inappropriate, including:
- discrimination or harassment of other attendees;
- aggressive or threatening behaviour;
- excessive alcohol consumption or use of illegal substances;
- aggressive, persistent or unsolicited promotion or sales of products or services to other attendees;
- behaviour that materially disrupts the event or venue.
In such cases, the ticket will not be eligible for a refund.
5. Photography and Video
Photography and video recording may take place at Founders Connect events. Images and recordings may be used by Founders Connect for its website, social media, communications and other promotional materials.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings published by Founders Connect, please contact us in advance or notify the event organiser at the venue before the event begins.
Attendees may also take photographs or recordings at events. Founders Connect is not responsible for photographs, videos or other content created and published independently by attendees.
6. Networking and Third-Party Interactions
Founders Connect facilitates opportunities for attendees to meet and connect. However, Founders Connect is not responsible for the consequences of interactions, introductions, agreements, investments, business relationships or other arrangements between attendees.
Some events may be organised jointly with another organisation or partner. Where this is the case, the event listing will indicate the relevant co-hosting arrangement.
7. Website Content and External Links
The Founders Connect website provides information about Founders Connect and its events for general informational purposes.
Founders Connect may provide links to third-party websites and resources. We are not responsible for the content, availability or services of third-party websites.
The text, images, graphics, branding and other materials on the Founders Connect website may not be reproduced, copied or used without prior permission.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be published on the Founders Connect website.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you may have as a consumer.
